Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Myrtle Beach & Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Originally from New York, I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2009. As a Qualified Supervisor, I also enjoy supervising therapists who are striving to achieve licensure. I have extensive experience in relational trauma, developmental immaturity, addiction/compulsive behaviors, mood disorders, relationship issues, family dynamics, personal growth & overall well-being.
As a healing professional, I have developed a passion for being present with people alongside their journey. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for change to take place. Each person is unique. We will work closely together to uncover what it is that works best for you in reaching your goals.
Therapy focuses on moving clients who feel stuck or who are not experiencing life to the fullest, toward a more meaningful relationship with self and others. Clients are guided to reconnect with themselves while in a safe and supportive environment. I utilize various forms of experiential and evidenced based techniques including Post Induction Therapy, EMDR, Inner Child Work, IFS, Gestalt, Imagery Work, MI, and CBT. I am able to devise strategies and employ techniques that truly help individuals feel empowered to get in touch with the missing parts of themselves.
There are many benefits to our overall well-being when we commit to meeting with a licensed therapist. Understanding our emotions, finding balance, and a deeper connection with oneself allows us to better navigate life’s ups and downs. Building self-awareness and self-compassion grants us the freedom to notice our purpose and improve our outlook on life.
Restore hope. Depression, anxiety & stress are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. I specialize in bringing awareness to the renewable purpose that exists within each individual. Using a variety of modalities that best fit your needs, I will work with you to help you recover motivation, perspective, joy, and passion. Learn how to let go of fears and doubts while embracing self acceptance and wholeness.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Fear, shame, pain, and sadness are a few emotions that are a result of experiencing trauma. Stress, difficulty concentrating, and an inability to maintain healthy relationships can suggest there is unresolved trauma from your past, creating issues in your life today. As the therapeutic relationship builds, we will walk through your journey together. In therapy, I will guide you in learning how to build what it is you need to be able to live the life you want. Not letting your past define you. I am experienced and trained in Post Induction Therapy, EMDR, and Inner Child Work.
Recovery and a meaningful life after addiction is possible. We will look closely at the underlying causes of your addiction and the symptoms that you face. I will assist you in discovering why you turn to your addiction as a solution to cope with, and often times in an effort to mask, a bigger problem. My hope is to lead you in finding a path to maintaining recovery. We will aim to accentuate the light that healing creates, rather than the shadows that addiction can cast.

Post Induction Therapy looks at the way that early childhood traumas can lead to relationship issues, maladaptive behavior, and difficulties connecting with oneself in adulthood. Extended sessions for Inner Child and Feeling Reduction work are available for those who are ready to engage in deeper trauma work. In an experiential process, the client will explore their early history in their family of origin, and identify any traumatic, less than nurturing, experiences and associated feelings. The client will then be guided and supported through a specific series of experiential therapeutic processes’ to help identify and heal childhood relational trauma. In a safe and nurturing environment, clients release painful emotions, connect with their inherent worth, connect with personal power, and learn to reparent themselves.

Stress responses are part of our natural fight, flight, or freeze instincts. When distress from a disturbing event remains, the upsetting images, thoughts, and emotions may create an overwhelming feeling of being back in that moment, or of being “frozen in time.” EMDR therapy helps the brain process these memories, and allows normal healing to resume. The experience is still remembered, but the fight, flight, or freeze response from the original event is resolved.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy approach that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts and painful emotions such anger and shame, and parts that try to control and protect the person from the pain of the wounded parts. The sub-personalities are often in conflict with each other and with one’s core Self, a concept that describes the confident, compassionate, whole person that is at the core of every individual. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.
Therapy is private pay however, a receipt for services can be provided upon request for those who wish to submit a superbill to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
