I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, with over 15 years of experience in trauma-focused psychotherapy. Based in the Charleston area, I offer secure virtual therapy to adults throughout South Carolina and Florida. I specialize in helping individuals heal relational and developmental trauma, which often manifests as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from oneself.
Many people don’t identify with the word 'trauma,' yet experience symptoms rooted in impactful life experiences such as emotional neglect, inconsistent caregiving, chronic stress, or early attachment wounds. My work focuses on understanding how these experiences affect the nervous system and internal sense of safety. Using EMDR and Post Induction Therapy approaches, we gently process unresolved experiences so they no longer drive present-day patterns.
I believe healing occurs within a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship. Therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and paced to your needs. My approach integrates evidence-based and experiential modalities, including EMDR, Inner Child Work, Post Induction Therapy, IFS, Gestalt, and CBT to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and lasting change. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, reclaim lost parts, and move toward greater balance, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.

Restore hope. Depression, anxiety, and chronic stress are common yet deeply uncomfortable experiences that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. These challenges often develop in response to ongoing stress, relational difficulties, or life experiences that strain our emotional and nervous system capacity.
You may notice:
• Persistent worry, racing thoughts, or feeling on edge
• Low mood, numbness, or loss of motivation
• Overthinking, self-doubt, or harsh inner criticism
• Emotional overwhelm or difficulty calming down
• Feeling stuck, disconnected, or drained
• Difficulty sleeping, relaxing, or feeling present

Many individuals experience lasting emotional and relational difficulties following painful or overwhelming life experiences. Trauma is not defined by a single event, but by how experiences are held in the body and nervous system. Emotions such as fear, shame, sadness, or chronic stress may linger long after the experience has passed, shaping how you relate to yourself and others.
You may notice:
• Emotional reactivity or feeling easily overwhelmed
• Numbness, shutdown, or feeling disconnected from yourself
• Difficulty trusting others or maintaining close relationships
• Persistent shame, guilt, or self-blame
• Feeling stuck in familiar patterns despite insight or effort
• A sense that your past continues to affect your present
Therapy offers a safe, collaborative space to gently process these experiences and restore a sense of internal safety and stability. As the therapeutic relationship develops, we move at a pace that feels supportive, helping you reconnect with yourself and build the emotional resources needed to live with greater clarity, balance, and freedom, without being defined by your past.
I am trained in trauma-focused approaches including EMDR, Post Induction Therapy, and Inner Child Work.

Recovery and a meaningful life after addiction is possible. Many individuals turn to substances or behaviors as a coping mechanism for difficult emotions, unresolved trauma, or life stress, often masking deeper challenges. In therapy, we explore the underlying causes of addiction and the patterns that maintain it, helping you understand why it has felt necessary and how it shows up in your life today.
The goal is not just abstinence, but healing, finding healthier ways to cope, reconnecting with yourself, and building a life filled with purpose, connection, and hope. Together, we focus on the light that recovery brings, rather than the shadows addiction can cast.

Post Induction Therapy explores how early childhood experiences can shape patterns in adulthood, including relationship challenges, maladaptive behaviors, and difficulties connecting with oneself. In a safe and supportive environment, clients can engage in deeper trauma work through Inner Child and Feeling Reduction sessions.

This experiential process helps you identify and heal past relational wounds, release painful emotions, and reconnect with your inherent worth and personal power. Clients also learn to reparent themselves, building the inner resources needed to create healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self.

When upsetting events remain unprocessed, they can create intense emotions, intrusive thoughts, or a sense of being “stuck” in the past. EMDR helps the brain process these memories so that the experiences are remembered without triggering the same overwhelming emotional or physical responses.
It is a well-researched, evidence-based approach that supports healing from trauma, anxiety, and other challenges, helping you feel more grounded, regulated, and able to move forward.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps people understand and heal the different “parts” of themselves. These parts may include wounded or painful aspects carrying emotions like shame or anger, and protective parts that try to manage or control the pain.
IFS counseling guides you in connecting with your core Self, the confident, compassionate, whole part of you, and helps heal the wounded parts. By restoring balance among your internal parts, clients gain greater emotional harmony, self-compassion, and the ability to respond to life with clarity and calm.
